Final Project

At the end of semester, we have to design the final action scene with four charaters.

The process of designing Wendy

I spent lots of time on desinging Wendy. She is most challenge charater for me because she seems doesn't have very strong personality.

At first, my Wendy looks very '' normal'' and without any characteristic but in the end, I think I'm pretty happy with that.

This was done by my first semester in visual elements of story class.

I was a traditional painter and then switched to digital painter. The class was fun and fulls of challenges. Even though this is not my best performance, but I do learn a lots in this class.

From the development of concept design, teacher really push me a lot.

I love thinking process of doing concept design, it really gave myself a chance to think about what is design about.

ROBOT

This is for practing to use photoshpe to do some illustrasions. I'm till trying to get use to it. Also, it's kinda of different from what I usually do in the past.

Dragon Fish

It was 2007 one day night, I dreamed about this weird creature. The creature has Chinese dragon head and also has sort of carp body. I felt like I was a man, kinda of fishman in my dream. It was probably thousand years ago. In the dream, I was standing on the boat and looking at the river. The river I think it might be Yellow river in China, cause it was so huge and wide. The water goes very fast also the dragon fish going up and down from the river. Then the scene cut to a big ship that is used to catch thoese giant dragon fishes. Well, I didn't dream how the boat catch the fishes cause I woke up after I dreamed the big ship.

I'm a totally tradtional painter and I just start to switch to use wacom to create my works. So, there are still lots of skills that I need to practice and learn. Anyway, I think this is a good start and also I really want to share this funny looking fish with you guys!!

The way of composing in this painting is Chinese style, cause I feel it was ancient Chinese time in my dream. Also, I wrote some Chinese characters that look like Chinese calligraphy. The meaning is describing about my dream, just as ancient Chinese artists would do in their paintings.

Two Old Jackets

Water color is my favorite material to use in painting. I shoot the photo in northern Taiwan very county side probably in 2001. After 2 years, one day I picked up this photo and decide to paint it in water color. These two jackets are very old, and it seems nowadays one longer people will wear it. Somehow, I feel them must have special meanings to the owners. Maybe they belong to an old couple and they really can't be apart from each other. Also, forever love.

Moments in my life

I drew this painting 2 years ago when I was in Vancouver. Thoes are my memories in Taiwan, and some of them are just the moment of beauty that I got at the time. Words can't express my emotion toward the life, and all of love and passion just in this painting.
